The president (2012-2017) Rosen Plevneliev visited the cities of Bilisht and Korce, the Republic of Albania. Together with the Chairman of the Bulgarian Memory Foundation Dr. Milen Vrabevski and the MEP Andrey Kovachev, he met with the mayor of the town of Korce, Niko Pelesi, with representatives of the local government, representatives of the Bulgarian community, students and teachers from the local school.
In the town of Bilisht, Rosen Plevneliev had a meeting with the mayor Mr. Bledion Nalbati. He declared his intention for further cooperation and joint initiatives with the Bulgarian Memory and the Solutions for the Future Foundation and emphasized the good relations between Bulgarians and Albanians on the territory of the municipality. President Plevneliev, Dr. Vrabski and Dr. Kovachev met with the director of the Dratro Agoli School in Bilisht, as well as with students and teachers from the Bulgarian language classes. A donation was made to encourage the learning of foreign languages, including Bulgarian.
