At a ceremony in the Sofia Central Synagogue, President Rosen Plevneliev was awarded with the honorary sign of the organization of the Jews in Bulgaria "Shalom" in the presence of diplomats, public figures and representatives of the Jewish community in Bulgaria. The honorary sign is awarded for the efforts of President Plevneliev to preserve the memory of the Holocaust in Bulgaria, to develop the Bulgarian-Israeli relations and to continue the Euro-Atlantic integration of our country. President Plevneliev gave the Jewish community in Bulgaria his "Friends of Zion" prize, which he received earlier this year for his active and consistent support to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
