The President (2012-2017) Rosen Plevneliev participated in the conference "In dialogue with the Western Balkans: Creating a region of growth, security and connectivity on the road to Europe". The event was organized by the European Council on Foreign Relations, the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies and the European Movement International and was held under the patronage of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Aim of the forum was to initiate the necessary dialogue between the Bulgarian Presidency, the European Union institutions and the civil society of the Western Balkans. Participants in the forum were also the Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva, the Mіnіѕter for the Bulgarіan Preѕіdenсу of the Counсіl of the EU Lilyana Pavlova, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov, the Head of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and Negotiations on Enlargement of European Commission Christian Danielson and others.
